Well... We have riched the final blog post, and It is about my blogging experience at English class.
This was not my first time blogging, I used to write a blog when I was 15-16 years. I am still writing a blog, but not so often like before, but when I am bored I used to upload an new entry. And well... I found out a lot of things af my classmates that I did not know, some were more personal experiences and others were funny. I am glad to have written almost all Fridays in this blog because It was very relaxing. We have to work and study all week, but this class was so light (not easy but light). Was like "Ok, Ximena, It is Friday. Take it easy and enjoy this class.".
What else can I say about this experience?, I can say that It was a good choice to write about stuff of our careers and about a particular situation or hobbies. I enjoyed a lot this time, and I expect that, 2015's generation will have fun with this kind of activities. And I think that I have more vocabulary than before. Maybe we should do same activity, or something like this, in English IV.
Ok... See you guys.
And thank you for reading.

My favourite writer
Hello, today I have to talk about my favourite writer.
I really do not have favourite writer. I like genres, not authors, but if I have to choose one, I would take Anne Rice, J. R. R. Tolkien or George Martin. Why them among a lot of writers?, because, for me, they are a such tanlented fantasy novels writers and I particulary love that genre above (almost) all. The aspect that I do not like, for example, on George Martin is his lethal way to write (ALL ARE GOING TO DIE IN NEXT TEN PAGES, ALL OF YOU!!), he kills a lot of people in just one chapter book, but he is still brilliant for me and his way to describe places and situatiuons makes my heart beat so fast.
I also like Oscar Wilde, particulary "The Nithingale and the Rose", which is part of an anthology of tales (The Happy Prince and Other Tales) written in 1888, and "The Canterville Ghost" written one year before. I love this last one even before read it, because when I was young my father used to tell my sister and I his own version of the story with them and I as the main characters; so, when I finally read the tale it was so nostalgic.
Well... See you, guys!

Article of my interest
Today I am going to show to you an article of interest of the area that I want to work in the future.
In first place, the aspect of my career that is interesting for me is cultural heritage documentation. This semester I am taking Lina Nagel's course about patrimonial documentation. It is not fun for all people, because you have to do the same thing many times, but I think it is completely necessary to have a database of pieces of arts; in the future museum's people would need this archives to find a, for example, stolen piece of art.
Particulary, the article that I chose, is about a 3D scanner (Terrestrial Laser Scanning) which can quicly scanlate patrimonium of a country, has high definition resolution quality, and can get a lot of object's information in a short period of time. The scanner was used by galicians to put many patrimonuim objects in 3D during 2009. This project involved people from galician Superior Council of Scientific Investigation (in spanish Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas or CSIC).
You can read the article here.
The project was interesting because you can obtain 3D models of patrimonial objects in a short time, for a country is very useful. I do not know if in Chile exist something like this, but they should have one.
See you next week.

Artist that I admire
Hello, guys. Today I could not attend class because I went to the hospital.
Well... Today I have to talk about an artist that I admire... There are a lot of cool artists in this world, I admire various of them, however I admit that I do not like much contemporary art; I prefer old school.
I admire Diego Rodríguez de Silva y Velázquez, commonly known as Diego Velázquez, this artist born in Spain at the end of 16th Century and was a painter from Baroque period. His style is known because he did not do sketchs at his paintings. Instead, he chose to instalntly apply the brushwork. Fow this reason, when you reach a certain distance from a Velázquez's your eye can unite all this brushstroke and see a figure; nevertheless, when you are so close to his paintings, you can not see a solid figure; instead, you can clearly see his brushworks. I like that kind of illusion at his paintings.
Well... that's all!
See you later, guys <3. Have a nice weekend.
